We are a grassroots non-profit group that is committed to the ideal that bureacracy and corrupted interests should not stand in the way of an ailing person’s chance at survival.   The exhorbitant efforts of the FDA Center for Drug Research and Evaluation to keep IPLEX out of the hands of ALS patients is a compelling injustice that needs investigation.   And we believe that, through public pressure, our representative leaders in the legislative and executive branches of government can be persuaded to undertake this investigation.

The sword and shield in this battle are letter writing and fund raising.  It is letter writing that, coupled with media exposure will communicate our demands to our elected officials.    Charitable donations magnify the impact of that work by allowing us to buy advertising space and fill the ranks of well-informed, outraged citizens.

We know there are thousands of families and individuals throughout the country fighting, as we are, for the lives of loved ones who have been struck by ALS.   There also are people who don’t have ALS, but who believe that such viciously terminal diseases challenge us to remove all obstacles in search for a cure.   Our message about Iplex needs to reach them.
